Наконец-то я решила собрать в одну кучу самое-самое из закладок на ао3. Что-то из этого переводилось в русскоязычном фандоме, но я все равно бесконечно нежно люблю оригиналы.

Next thing he knows, Bucky Barnes is opening his eyes in the 21st century, meanwhile, the Winter Soldier finds himself in the middle of World War Two, helping Captain America hunt down HYDRA (which is at least familiar), pretending to be Bucky Barnes (which is not), and figuring out the very noisy group of soldiers who call themselves the Howling Commandos.

He puts them in his mouth, chews, and swallows. "Now, if I eat any more than that my boss is gonna have my head for snacking on the job, so just take it, will ya?"

Bucky Barnes is barely functioning, let alone living, but when the Avengers find an abandoned baby girl, Bucky has to learn to look after himself, and keep the baby out of Hydra's hands. All while trying to work out exactly what kind of relationship he and Steve want from each other.
"What’s that?” Bucky asks, the question jerked out of him so unexpectedly that he doesn’t have time to catch it the way he usually does.
“I believe it is a baby’s cry,” the House tells him."

If I were "hella old" I probably wouldn't understand what you're saying a quarter of the time, including "hella old", Steve replies, intimately aware of the irony."
